AAP Information

In 1930, 35 pediatricians came together to form the American Academy of Pediatrics. The group felt strongly that an independent forum was needed to address children’s health issues. They were right and today the AAP is home to 60,000 members.

The Florida Chapter was formed on April 27, 1952. Over the past 75 years, the AAP has been successful in achieving, and maintaining its primary mission: “To attain optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
