Oral Health Alert
Are you one of the 650 medical professionals in Florida providing early childhood preventive services to your Medicaid-enrolled patients? We urgently need to hear from you! We (Drs. Louis St. Petery, Earl Fox, and Frank Catalanotto) recently met with AHCA officials to discuss a problem that exsists, where some Managed Care Organizations (MCO) are not paying fee-for-service reimbursement for these specific oral health services. Please send an e-mail to fcatalanotto@dental.ufl.edu that includes your name, telephone number, county and what MCOs are and are not paying you fee-for-service rates during the past twelve months. If it is more convenient, you can FAX to Dr. Catalanotto at 352.273.5985. Be sure to place his name at top of FAX. This information will be assembled and sent to AHCA. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Catalanotto at 352.273.5970.
