ASPR Schedules Virtual Pediatric Town Hall on Current Surge in Respiratory Viruses

The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), are hosting a combined Regions II and IV Virtual Pediatric Town Hall focused on the current surge in respiratory viruses that is exacerbating the ongoing strain on pediatric health care facilities.

Dr. Jenna Wheeler from Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Dr. Brendan Carr from the Mount Sinai Health System will lead our town hall. The discussion will include a presentation of current data on viral burden and pediatric health care capacity, sharing of specific resources from the ASPR Pediatric Disaster Care Centers of Excellence, and an opportunity to receive feedback and questions from attendees.

All pediatric health care providers are encouraged to attend and to invite other key pediatric leaders and advocates from your facilities and networks to this important and ongoing dialogue with federal leaders.
