Disaster Preparedness

Oct 5, 2016 | News

As Hurricane Matthew approaches Florida, FCAAP reminds you of the importance of being prepared for a natural disaster. Florida’s hurricane season extends until November 30 and the impact of a storm can have long lasting effects. As families on Florida’s west coast continue to recover from the effects of Hurricane Hermine, families on Florida’s east coast are encouraged to prepare for Hurricane Matthew.

The Family Readiness Kit (El Kit de Preparación para la Familia) includes information and resources to help families prepare for a disaster and keep themselves safe. Additional resources are available on FCAAP’s Parents page and updates on Hurricane Matthew can be obtained from the State Emergency Response Team website.
