Be a Champion for Early Childhood

  • Reach Out and Read and Early Literacy
  • Caring for Our Children–health and safety standards in early learning centers
  • Toxic Stress
  • The First 1000 Days
  • Positive Parenting
  • Home Visiting Programs
  • Breastfeeding Support and Promotion
  • ACE’s

These are just a few of the topics important in early childhood, especially in the first 3 years of life.  If you are passionate about any one, more than one, or all of these topics, we would love to hear from you.  As the Early Childhood Champion from Florida, I am looking for like-minded souls who desire to work on projects to improve the early childhoods of children in Florida.  You could be involved as much or as little as time allows, letting passion be your guide!  If you already have a project started, or have ideas for ones, let us brainstorm together.  The Florida Chapter is also offering support–you are not expected to do everything alone, just do something!  Let’s make Florida a better place for our youngest inhabitants and their families.

You can reach out to me, Jennifer Takagishi, MD, directly at jtakagis@health.usf.edu, or via our Executive Director, Alicia E. Adams, Esq., at aadams@fcaap.org.
