The Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FCAAP) today released updates to “FCAAP Recommendations Regarding Schools During the
COVID-19 Pandemic” – a white paper to assist Florida’s school superintendents as they operate schools in their districts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The following updates have been made to the paper since the update of October 20, 2020:

• Update on infection rate in Florida (Pages 2-3).
• Recommendation 11 regarding sports (Pages 11-12).
• Recommendation 13 regarding change in CDC definition of how to calculate 15 minutes of contact (page 12).
• Recommendation that antigen tests NOT be used to screen for COVID-19, as a negative test is not helpful (page 12).
