Children’s Health Symposium on Climate Change

Sep 26, 2016 | News

The AAP is conducting a Children’s Health Symposium on Climate Change on October 6-7, 2016, which will bring together representatives from various AAP groups to ensure that climate change is adequately addressed in efforts throughout the AAP.  This will serve as an important next step to translate the recent policy statement, titled “Global Climate Change and Children’s Health,” into practice.  Florida is one of the most vulnerable US states due to its coastlines, extreme heat, and decreased water availability.

FCAAP member, Dr. Lisa Gwynn, will be attending this conference on behalf of the Committee of Community Pediatricians. All FCAAP members are encouraged to share their comments and feedback on this topic with Dr. Gwynn.
