FCAAP LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE FOR QUARTERLY JOURNAL, ‘THE FLORIDA PEDIATRICIAN’

Jul 21, 2022 | News

The Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FCAAP) is proud to announce a new dedicated website for The Florida Pediatrician, its peer-reviewed medical journal, located at www.floridapediatrician.org. Published quarterly by the FCAAP Editorial Board, The Florida Pediatrician includes scientific articles, case reports, legislative updates, and other information relevant to pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, and pediatric allied health practitioners in Florida.

The new website, which officially launched July 19, is optimized to encourage indexing of The Florida Pediatrician in academic search engines and to facilitate the journal’s use as a citable source in medical research. The site currently hosts editions from Winter 2021 to present, and previous editions will be added continuously back to Winter 2016.

The Florida Pediatrician emphasizes manuscript submissions from pediatricians; pediatric subspecialists; pediatric researchers; family medicine practitioners who provide pediatric care; PhDs involved in pediatric disciplines; pediatric PharmDs; pediatric nurses including APRNs; physician assistants providing pediatric care; pediatric quality improvement specialists and researchers; medical-legal professionals on pediatric issues; and other pediatric professionals. The Florida Pediatrician gives special emphasis and encouragement to medical students and pediatric professionals in training—including fellows, residents, and pediatric trainees in all the disciplines described above—to submit manuscripts. Learn more about editorial and submission guidelines.

An exclusive site sponsorship opportunity for universities, corporations, and other institutions is available. For more information about sponsorship or The Florida Pediatrician, please contact FCAAP Publications & Advertising Coordinator John Horne at jhorne@fcaap.org.
