The Florida Pediatric Foundation (FPF) is now accepting applications for the 2023 Louis B. St. Petery, Jr., MD, FAAP, and Julia Revel St. Petery, MD, FAAP, Pediatric Trainee Advocacy Training Scholarship. FPF is offering two $1,500 scholarships for first- and second-year residents enrolled in a Florida pediatric residency program to attend the AAP Advocacy Conference, being held in person March 26-28, 2023, in Washington, DC! Winners are expected to attend AAP scheduled meetings with our Florida congressional offices during the conference. Scholarship winners will be paired with FCAAP leaders attending the conference for support before, during, and after the conference. Applicants also are expected to identify an advocacy partner in their local area, institution, or one of FCAAP’s committees to collaborate with for future advocacy efforts.

Scholarship recipients are expected to provide a report of what they learned from the conference and how they will apply such knowledge to their participation in future FCAAP legislative and advocacy activities. Full details of the scholarship requirements and the application can be found here.

Applications are due by January 16th, and scholarship awardees will be notified via email no later than January 31st. Residents must be members of FCAAP to apply.
